Welcome to Jack Moline's web site.
Here you will find Jack's writing and other projects. Currently, there are four blogs (click above the picture or, on a mobile device, on the icon at the upper right): Weekly Column: The original Aliba D'Rav, which means "according to the rabbi," a phrase taken slightly out of its Talmudic context. The purpose of this blog is to provide some Jewish context for the concerns of the day -- sometimes what's in the headlines and sometimes what isn't even in the news. But the values that inform these brief pieces are not meant as political commentary. Rather, they flow from my belief that Torah is a living document that speaks to the lives we live now. You may also subscribe to the Google group that will deliver these columns to you by email each week. Politics: Just politics. These are my personal opinions and analyses of current affairs. As the sub-head says, I am unshamedly liberal. On Being a Rabbi: I learned a lot in my 35 years in the congregational rabbinate -- about myself, about the role I played, about the people I served and about what it means to be a rabbi. The Sixty Fund: When I turned 60, my family created a microphilanthropy for me. It is the best thing I get to do. Please take a look at this one. If you like what you see, you should try it just to encourage more goodness in this world in whatever way flows from your heart. Please visit frequently. And I'd love to hear from you....respectfully. No name-calling or profanity, please. Nobody likes a poopy-head with a potty mouth.
